There is an item in the Wishlist thread "Personal User settings support in WindowsNT/2K/XP". This would be great, but why not in Win9x as well? All it would require is storing winamp.ini, winamp.m3u etc in the User Profiles directory rather than the program directory.

It would be very simple to do, and is a feature that has been sorely lacking from Winamp for a long time.

Anyway, thanks, and keep up the great work on Winamp 5! :D

Thatst because win9x does not have a place to store multi user settings like windowsNT/2K/XP does, to put it simply it does not have the C:documents and settings folder. But it is possiable since win9x does have muilt users in terms of their my documents folders and the C:windows\<user name folder>

There's always the Profiler (http://x-fixer.narod*****progs/) plugin

Later internal builds of Winamp3 had built-in multi-user support, so I guess it will also eventually make its way into Winamp, maybe for Winamp 5.1 release or later.

Win9x not having a C:\Documents and Settings folder is irrelevant; it stores its profile data in a different directory is all. (C:\WINDOWS\Profiles\USERNAME\Application Data by default.)

The actual location of the folder makes no difference from a coding standpoint, and there's no reason it can't be implemented in 9x too. Here's hoping it makes it in to Winamp 5 some time in the future. :D:D:D

P.S. Profiler looks quite nice, I'll definately have a play around with it.
