I got an email from a friend in England...complaining about the sordid weather down there...thankfully...i'm in a country where the temp right now is 26 degrees...there's lots of sunshine and no rain...perfect weather....
what's the weather like in the rest of the world?

Yes, winter is here in the UK, well nearly, it's raining a lot and it has been nice and frosty on an evening, I love it, summer sucks, hate the heat, much prefer autumn/winter, gives me an excuse to carry my hip flask for those cold winter walks home :D

I live in Upstate NY and there is snow here. It is snowing out right now and it gets really cold. It is 20 degrees out right now. Thank goodness I got snow tires put on my car yesterday.

We are getting more snow later today. I get really sad in the cold weather. Last year I gained 10 pounds from just staying inside. This year I am going to try to find more indoor activities to stay active so I dont gain weight.

I miss Georgia!!!!!!!!!!

You could always go shovel snow :D, ok , not indoors but it's winter based exercise non the less.

It's 57 degrees here in Denver, but the wind is howling! We have some pretty weird weather during the winter. You can freeze your ass off one day, and the next it's in the 50's and 60's. We've even had occassions when it snows like crazy one day, and the next day it's in the 70's!

Bloody Farenheits, why don't the Americans use Celsius when its's and SI unit?

Speaking of winter blues...I have the flu. :( :( :(

The pool party is postponed. :hang: I'm going to go curl up in a chair and tough it out. I hope nobody else catches this. Don't post too close to me, just in case.

It's like making a compromisation between Japanese and Russian people on what language they should communicate to each other with...The Japanese will obviously say Japanese, and the Russians will say, well, Russian...Have them argue over the subject to find a justifiable reason why or why not, and most likely statements will end up going nowhere...That's what it's like; Just don't even bother asking "What", or in this case "Why"... ;)

As for recently around here, it's been shitty...Cold weather lingering around the mid-40's to mid-50's...Sunny with partial clouds do little to help with the cold temperatures when you have winds blowing anywhere from 5-15mph from any direction...Just dipping below freezing on some nights, and also on a rare occasion since the last 2 weeks, has it flurried for about 3 days...Not much, just dry flurries that don't stick, but still some form of snow none-the-less...

With the way it was so warm back in November, I'm betting there will at least be 1ft+ of snow this winter season that will go on for the days to come, and not just a passing day-in-day-out thing...Besides, if it's gonna be so damn cold, at least make it snow or something... :D

I'm normally sitting in 2 feet of snow at this point (Canadian by nature) but since I'm on a trip to North France, it's quite nice. Gets nipply at night but during the day I can walk around without a coat on sometimes.

It barely feels like Christmas is coming because everything's still GREEN (I'm used to white, after all...)

I'm sitting here in a t-shirt, looking out the window theres not a cloud in the sky, and I'm about to go open the window and let some fresh air in. Yeah, it's summer here.

Hey, I was just saying that for Europeans is the SI-unit table a standard; Farenheits, ounces, yards and all this stuff just confuses me. OK I know hoe much an inch is but thats all.

And yes, I know how big is a pint of beer:D

I just remembered a fantastic indoor sport that I could participate in this year to keep in shape. It is 3 letters long - starts with and s and ends in an x.

i'm not a SAD (Seasonally Affected Disorder) person, thankfully, but I know some people who are.

If you are SAD, all you need are some full-spectrum lightbulbs and you'll be fine. :)

I hate the coldness of winter though.

What are these lightbulbs you speak of?

One things for sure: You may know your scientific calculations of measurement well, but you sure as hell don't have proper english... ;) :p

You have someone to participate with, though. ;)

Looks like it'll be a lonely winter for me. I guess I can participate in my own variant of the indoor sport. My version's got a different name. It's 12 letters long, starts with an "m" and ends with an "n".

The good news is you win the game just the same way...with 6 letters, starting with an "o" and ending with an "m".
:)

The bad news is that there's no one around to celebrate my victory with, unless I invite 10 letters starting with a "p" and ending with an "e".

It seems the sky is falling down, but no lighting rays ...
But with this rain, tomorow it seems we're having a pretty nice Summer Sun ...
