You know that new "Computer Checker" it comes with? When it was first released, it did so good that it wiped AOL 9.0 off of your computer. AOL was baffled, then someone said "it works too well", and they made no comment since. :D

That makes two things I like about AOL:

Well Im here to share a F*cked up Damn aol expirenience. Since my parent refuse to get rid of this crap, IM FORCED TO USE AOL 56k. THOSE BASTARDS. ALL MY FRIENDS THAT HAVE OTHER AOL AREAS OR ANOTHER ISP ATLEAST GET V.92 Capabilitys(typo i think) ME AND MY BRO AND MY BEST FRIEND WHO LIVES NEAR BY ARE STUCK WITH AMERICA OFFLINE with you guessed it 48k support with no v.92 support. what a waste of money that v.92 card was. Man i have the best computer on this street except you guessed it HAVING AOL! Another one of my ever so disturbing Aol expirinces, i dont know if this is aols fucking programing or their staff getting vegeance on me for complaning. One day I asked the staff why aol was making my connection so slow. I asked when they would have V.92 in my area and demanded to know why the hell AOL was deleting my MODEM DRIVERS. AOL IS EVIL!!! I run a Linux/Win 2000 combo, guess what it did.....
IT DELETED ALMOST ALL OF WIN 2000 AND TOOK OUT ALMOST ALL OF MY LINUX DRIVERS AND MADE MY COMP UNABLE TO START ON THE HARDDRIVE WITH THE OSes. THEY F*CKING GOT TO BOTH MY OSES. I HATE AOL 9.0. MY FIREWALL FOUND NOT ACTIVTIY EXCEPT AOL. I THINK THEY ARE AFTER ME. I HAD TO WASTE A WHOLE WEEK JUST REINSTALLING WIN2000 TO THE POINT WHERE I COULD GET ONLIne.. Ugh hellllllllllp Aols got me..............

And about help, in the repair console in windows (appears before you choose to instal when you put the windows CD in the drive...at least is should), there is a thing called 'bootrpr' or something like that, you run it to repair your comp so it boots correctly, my brother had to use it.

But sry, I appear to be 2 late to be of any use.......:(

Huh? Two O/Ses on one PC should work fine. I've done it many, many times. I'm pretty sure the commands are "fixmbr" and "fixboot", but I could be wrong.

I use windoze, linux, & os/2 on my system and its a total bitch to install. I wouldn't even think of using the aol version "spawn of satan". Its bad enough I use cable internet from a company that is owned by them. If you need internet without as much stinking lag get netzero at least they do less harm to your computer.

AOL cds make good Christmas ornaments when you cut them up into quarters and put 'em on with the hangers.
Those old aol floppies kept me from buying new ones, I must have saved $100's on floppies over the years.

The best use I've found is taking a lighter and putting it underneath the CD. When it heats up, it causes the CD to bubble up into really cool designs.... almost seems impossible, considering they're AOL CD's, but it really works! You can then hang them on the wall, or Christmas tree, or whatever =)
