Ok,I'm trying to start something like chev's "What mp3 you are listening......."(Ya,ya, I know its a bad try:( ).
So come here and say what was the last movie you saw ?And how was it? You can simply use:up: or  or say whatever you want......

Let me start....I haven't seen any movie for a long time.......the last movie was "Hollywood Homicide" which I think was ridiculous ......I saw the movie only for Josh Hartnett......he is soooo sweet:D

So now, will anyone start to reply please?

Once Upon A Time In Mexico.....7/10 (Selma Hayek gets 10/10....phwer!) Sorry that I have to do this but I disargee with you on 3 of those ratings (I haven't seen Lost in Translation so I cannot say anything about it):

It's not obvious to me why you rated Dogville lower than Elephant, Dogvilee was a great movie in my opinion, the scene was a nice idea, the actors were awesome (which the scenery made you notice since there wasn't that much distraction around) and the tension that slowly built up was incredible! In my opinion this movie should have gotten that European movie price, not "Goodbye Lenin"...

Elephant on the other hand, which was liked by just about every critic over here didn't please me at all, it was interesting, yes, but it totally failed ot impress or make me feel with it in any way...meh, maybe it's just me.

Now Once upon a time in Mexico was a great disappointment to me (I think I've already written this is some other thred in here) I expected another cool Rodriguez flick but then it was just another bad Hollywood movie...I rather watched Desperado once again, even the $7000 production El Mariachi was better in my opinion, the wit and hte coolness got lost somewhere in between a complicated story that wasn't really wriiten out well enough so it could be a plus for this movie...and Salma only appeared in it for not even 10 minutes :(

Sorry that I had to disagree with you but that's only my opinion on it :)

Mia:)

Killing Zoe (script by Tarantino)

It was not a great movie but it was an alright one, a pretty good gangster flick. Beware, most of the dialogues are in French so I had most of the fun comparing it to the English subtitles :D

It gets an average rating from me.

Yeah, that's the one, I'd read reports it was a piss poor film, but I'd never seen it before and it was on the box on Wednesday.

I just wish I hadn't bothered, the suspense was missing, the story was missing, it just lurched from one action scene to another, and where was the ending?

pfft, I hope Spielberg takes charge of this franchise again and shakes it up a bit in the planned 4th one.

MidnightViper88
13th June 2004, 03:48
There's supposed to be a 4th one... :weird:

I liked the 2nd one as a sequal(sp?), but the 3rd one wasn't even a movie by itself...Even when I was younger and watched JP just because I liked dinosaurs and didn't care about the movie itself, I found myself bored... :/

Watched "Miracle" (1980 US Men's gold winning hockey team)last night at my parents. Even knowing the eventual outcome, I must say that they did a good job of building up the story. And Kurt Russell was almost unrecognizable as the coach. Very good movie to watch :)

Saw The Kings Of Comedy on Comedy Central. Funny movie, bu I liked it much better on Showtime. Why? One reason: They left in all the cusswords. CC totally cut out Bernie's entire "Don't be afraid of the word motherf*****." bit.

IMHO, That's the problem with big screen movies on basic cable. The damn censors edit out all the hardcore cusswords. Personally, I think that whether or not you wanna hear a lot of cussing in a movie, if there is cussing, it just makes the movie flow better just to let the actor say the word rather than have censors have it dubbed over or blanked out.

I saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. The plotline was pretty thin. Generic action type movie. I did enjoy the 1930s retro feel of the movie however. It was very well done but needed a better plot.
