Why does it have to be made into a sexist thing?

It has nothing to do with what threads we chose to participate in. Nor does it have to do with what sex we are.

The key here is to ask a mod NICELY. Maybe if others were a little nicer in here and not so abrasive they too would get a custom title.

There are plenty of males in here with custom titles.

I personally am sick of everything being a gender thing here lately in the forums. It makes me not want to come here and that is pretty sad concidering I am a very tolerant person. --- Just my 2 cents.

I didn't realize this. I'm very sorry if you've been offended, Missy, and I'm sorry if I've been one who has said anything that's seems sexist in any way. I joke around a lot, and I know that my jokes go overboard sometimes. I try to be careful to avoid ending up with my feet in my mouth, but I'm far from perfect and occasionally it happens anyway.

I am not miffed nor defensive about this thread. I was purly making an observation myself. The sexist observation was not only about this thread but many that exist in the forums lately.

When I joined here there were very few girls on the forums. I am so happy that female company has joined here. It just seems that everything is made into a girl/guy thing here lately.

MOTM is a very special honor. I have won MOTM. I also came in 2nd place for MOTY a few years ago. I was so honored that it made me cry real tears. It had nothing to do with a custom title it had to do with the honor that the people of the winamp forums voted me there.

The fuss is that (as far as I understood) they were to be a special privlage reserved for those admin's, moderators, skin reveiwers, and MOTM's. As I said, I could not PM a mod without logging in, and I couldn't e-mail a mod as the support screen was a "-1 error, page not found" type of error message, over and over. After hours of trying and research, there was no way in, and no way to make contact. But regardless, I still only have one account. My previous one went away, hence it didn't exist when this one was created. It's as if a user was unregistered, but keeping their old posts visible. I was "involuntarily" and "unintentionally" unregistered. :weird:

Here's an easy solution to the CT debate: Put a gender choice on the forum registration page. Males become Major Dude and Forum King. Females become Major Dudette and Forum Queen. If you want something else, earn it by being a mod, admin, skin reviewer, or MOTM.

Two ways to "satisfy" a mod into giving you a CT:

If it's a female moderator, do this (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=157323) to her.
If it's a male moderator, let him do this (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=149875) to you.Your CT is guaranteed. :)


P.S...For my own needs, I don't know of any female mods (otherwise, I'd be happy to fulfill that "option" shown above), and for the male mods, I just don't want a damn CT that bad.

I read someone say that there were only about ten women who post here regularly. And there are what, a hundred guys who post in GD almost every day?
