Minority Report
AI
Jaws
ET
Saving Private Ryan
Schindler's List
Arachnophobia
Poltergeist
Back to the Future
The Goonies

(etc etc etc)

Dreamcatcher, his newest film. This was very good in my opinion. Took me a few times to watch it to actually figure it all out though.

I really liked Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, and Catch Me If You Can.

I love ET (not only the film but also that creature......so cute)
Steven Spielberg is my all time favorite....but ya I got to agree with it that he's started losing his touch. I mean, compare his recent films with films like Back to the future, ET, Jaws, Jurassic Park...not at all convincing.
Even "Taken" was much better.....he should concentrate on things like that(mini-series) more.

He can subtlety at times but is one of the best directors.

"You made out during 'Schindler's List'?!"

Sorry...Thread reminded me of an episode of Seinfeld I saw recently... :D

But yeah...There are a few of his movies I found slightly half-assed, to say the least, but he's still a damn good director...Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, Back To The Future, some of my favorites... :)

I HAVE to disagree. If you read the book, there is no way they could make it into a movie, and the subsequent trial of turning this not-so-good book into a great movie was impossible. There was too much stupid shit at the end, and I was left with my jaw hanging out in disgust. It was "talk-talk-talk-mental shit-mental shit-talk-talk-waithere'stheendletsfillinsomeholesandleaveit!"

Yeah the book was much much better than the movie. Then again they really couldn't show stuff like all the mind reading and the riot. I loved the riot part. :)

I'll have to read the book then. Right now I'm reading Night Shift.

The book is the book. The movie is the movie. Judge them independantly.

He DESTROYED kubricks work with AI, it's soo easy to see when Kubrick left and Spielberg took ever, think he managed to ruin a film that could have been one of the best ever made.

Schindlers list, is one of my favoutite movies, i litterally cried at the end, where he freaks out over how he could have saved more people.

Other than that, i think most of his movies are mindless entertainment, but you have to give him it's good mindless entertainment.

Saving Private Ryan, was my favourite. So intense but emotional that movie, very good.

oh yeh, the Jurrassic Park thing, well it was just that when we went to france, at night, there was nothign to do in the house we were staying in, because it was in the arse-end of nowhere. anyways, there was THREE, count em, THREE videos. only one was good. and that was jurassic park. we watched it so many times (mostly every night for two weeks) that i dont need to watch it anymore. i found myself accidentally quoting the film the rest of the summer. it was funny. AND AI DID NOT SUCK. :p
