Install 5.01 with 2.91already on system

Hi,
I have 2.91 installed and am quite happy with it. I want to try 5.01.

Can I install 5.01 into it's own directory? SHOULD I install 5.01 into it's own directory??

Then...if I am happy with it, should I delete 2.91? Or should I delete them both and reinstall 5.01? OR should I install 5.01 over 2.91.

I know this sounds a bit confusing but I like to keep things neat and manageable.

Doesnt really matter, you will have to move any skins and reinstall any plugins if you put it in a different directory. Which is actually better than just installing over an old version of winamp.

I would just uninstall both, then reinstall winamp 5.01. Just so your file associations (sp?) are not messed up.

i installed 5.01 into the old directory and i had music in the folder too, it sucks cause i seemed to have lost it all
