Glad to see Lord of the Rings win. It should have.
I have no idea why Bill Murray won. Johnny Deep should have
won for Pirates of the Carribean.
Angels in America was one of the best TV movies ever made.
Every actor in that movie was excellent!

What say you?

Well I can't say anything about the TV series since I don't live in the US and I haven't seen most of the movies yet because most of the time they come out with a 2-10 months delay over here

But the movies mentioned here that I have seen deserve a prize in my opinion - I've only seen LOTR which is a really good movie no matter if you like fantasy or not it's just done in a good way
I've also seen Mystic River which was a really good movie too in my opinion but it reminded me more of a long TV thriller than of a realy movie theater movie, can't explain why...the actors were really great in this movie, they could really show what they can do because there were not that many huge effects that were taking the attention away from their skills  (I agree with the Johnny Depp thing though, he was extremely funny in my opinion, was he at least nominated?)
I wanted to see lost in translation last week it just came out here but it was sold out, too, might get another chance to go later on :(

As for the other ones, I haven't heard about them yet, I'll tell you in a year how I liked them ;)

Mia:)

Bill Murray well deserved his award. Johnny Depp? A great role, laughed my socks, but not really award material I'm afraid. Murray's role required alot more skill and timing.

this shows me how little I watch tv. I knew of three of these films/shows, and have only watched one of them (lotr)

I really enjoyed Mystic River, in a Sleepers-reminiscent sort of way. I enjoyed Penn's work in Hurly Burly too, and I'm glad he won.

The Office is the first geniuinely hilarious program in a long while. Everyone has met / knows / works with a David Brent, and that just makes it better.
