Hey everybody,

As I already stated in the "best picture" thread, you are able to vote for the actor (in a leading role) you think deserves the Academy award the most, have fun discussing - also the Awards in general if you'd like to.

You can also give your opinion on who shouldn't win it at all (but please keep it civilized guys!) and maybe tell us your favorite actors that should recieve it this year who weren't even mentioned.

So here are pics of the actors, I tries to find one of them in their role:

Johnny Depp:

Ben Kingsley:

Jude Law:

Personally I do not agree with any of those, but I cannot find another.

Well, I've seen two out of the five movies so I cannot really give out my vote since there are many good actors nominated but to chose the right pnw I'd need to see their performance in that particular movie...

Johnny Depp was hilarious as a pirate and is hot anyway but this is not about looks so I don't really think that this performance - although really funny - deserves an Academy award...

I've seen Ben Kingsley as Ghandi an din Schindler's list and I must say that he's truly a great actor - didn't he already get an Pscar for best actor decades ago? But since I haven't seen the movie he's nominated for I cannot say anything about his performance there...

Alright, Jude Law it HOT. But that doesn't make him eligible for an Oscar either...haven't seen that movie either but will do so when it comes out (I like Jude Law in Gattaca, Stalingrad and Road to perdition).

I never thought that Bill Murray was that exceptional as an actor but who knows, I'll go see Lost in Translation, maybe he'll surprise me...

Sean Penn did a good job in his role but once again I didn't think it was that exceptional to be awaered since I haven't seen the other ones...

Well, these were my 2 cents, what do you others think?

Well, Sean Penn has taken the trophy home yesterday night, who would have expected that...it seems like you guys are not alright with this decision since no one has voted for him...do you think that this descision was wrong, unfounded or sitll alright?

Many people felt Bill Murray was snubbed for his performance in Lost in Translation, but at least Johnny Depp didn't win.
