Hey everybody,

Since everytime the Academy awards are given out, there are also the Golden Raspberry Awards ("Razzies"), which are the completely opposite :D I thought that I let you choose last year's worst movie as well...the "winners" of this competition will be announced February 28 and I'll keep you updated on it of course...

So, what was the worst movie last year, vote for it in the poll and state why below, if another one not nominated deserves this "honor", please also tell us but keep the discussion about wether a movie was good or not civilized, alright? It's all in good fun.

The nominated Pictures are:

CAT-IN-THE HAT (http://www.catinthehat.com/)(Universal/Dreamworks/Imagine)
CHARLIE'S ANGELS: FULL THROTTLE (http://www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/charliesangelsfullthrottle/index.html) (Columbia)
FROM JUSTIN TO KELLY (http://www.fromjustintokelly.com/home.phtml)(20th Century-Fox)
GIGLI (http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/gigli/) (Columbia/Revolution)
THE REAL CANCUN (http://www.therealcancun.com/)(New Line)

The only movie I have seen of those 5 was Charlies Angels - but only because a friend in the US dragged me in there and payed for it too, so I didn't waste any money for it.

I haven't seen the others and doubt that I will, but just from pictures of the movies and reading about the plots I htink that there are several of them that are even worse tahn Charlie's Angels. Which is actually a really sad thought...

And thankfully, according to the gossip sheets, we shall no longer have to suffer the "bennifer" :D

Is it a bad thing if someone, who is ugh not me, purchased each of those movies on DVD for full price after watching them in Theaters?

I'm just a sucker for marketing.

I'd like to add all of the Lord of the Rings films. Just because they were overblown, brain dead, trash and the money could have financed better films.

Me, and two billion, seven hundred and ninteen million, nine hundred and one thousand, six hundred and thirty-four dollars worth of currency (2,719,901,634) (so far) would like to disagree with you. And that's just box office.

Over 30,000,000 DVDs of the first two films alone (source (http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2003-12-26-year-dvds-lotr_x.htm)) would also like to disagree with you.

Back on the topic bad movies:

I too have never seen them, but surely no movie can be worse than a porno featuring dwarves having sex with babes.

Its popular, therefore its a good film? Maybe I expect more from a film than CGI and a big budget. You know, good acting, good direction and maybe alittle something to make you think.

But maybe thats just me?

By the way, "Another movie which I will state below!" I went for this option, therefore I believe my opinion of the worst film as RTOK is perfectly valid.
