is there any way to hide the "SHOUTCast Source" window?

you mean the one with all the configuration or the one with the info on the connection. Like the all greyed out one. If it is the big square one just click hide window on the program(beside kill server) and your good to go. The one that comes up with winamp will hide if you minimize winamp.

Hope this helps.

The source = the DSP

No.
But you can drag it to the edge of the screen so only a sliver appears.

Hopefully, Nullsoft (once again my point that nullsoft turns its back to shoutcast) will actually update some of their software, and if they do, they shoud make a minimize feature that could sit in your taskbar. I'd like to have that feature.

just minimize winamp or use 1.8.0

oh I know there are alternatives, but you can agree that shoutcast DSP would be better if it came with a few cool new features.

Not old music... like many artists have tried to do and end up ruining the song or making the song more popular nowadays than the original.

Maybe we could get people to input what they thing would be great features to add to the Shoucast DSP and possibly the DNAS.

I've never mentioned this when this subject was brought up, but I found a few Windows skins that you can use to where you can minimize any window (similar to a MAC). Download and install WindowBlinds (http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/) and find the right skin(s). An example picture is attached.

Note: The picture displays two instances of the DSP.. one is minimized, the other isn't.

Scroll down the thread to my post (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=148801#post1537114). The post, dated today, has an attached zip file containing the program I wrote this afternoon. It's essentially a recreation of the "hide.exe" program mentioned earlier in the thread that no one can seem to find anymore. It has the added benefit of "toggling" the window's visibility (run the program once to hide the window, run it again to show, etc).

I hope this helps someone.

FYI, have posted a new version of the program here (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=148801#post1542298) (version 1.3). Adds the ability to delay hiding the window (useful for running on Windows startup) and some other improvements, plus I added a readme file that describes the available features.

iirc, there is an xp powertoy available at the MS website that allows you to add extra buttons to any and all windows such as minimize to tray, always on top, etc.. i havent played around with it to much and not with the scast dsp since i rarely use it anymore, but it and the minimize to tray button may help. check it out.
