put it in private mode if you don't want the server to be released to the public. Please more specific in what you wish to do with the server.

it should be as simple as turning on the shoutcast server program. Then sending it a source on the network. If you don't wanna have any errors from the yp I suggest putting your server in private mode.

Link using this format: http://yourIP:yourPORT/listen.pls
Replace "yourIP" with your IP (which you can find here (http://www.radiotoolbox.com/online_tools/whereami.php)) and "yourPORT" with your portbase as defined by your DNAS (server) config file. The default is 8000.
If you have a dynamic IP, you can get a static name at www.no-ip.com.

Go into the DSP > Output tab > Yellowpages > Uncheck "Make this server public".

Two (or less) easy steps:
1. If you have a firewall, open the necessary port(s).
2. If you have a router, configure it to forward the necessary port(s) to the DNAS machine.
Check out the Sticky post titled:

Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled:
DNAS Stuff -> Errors -> Fixing [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx) from the Internet, disable NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out)
Are the necessary ports open in your firewall and are they being forwarded to the DNAS machine?
