this was a feature i was trying to create with no luck, but a solid waveform would be cool.
have a setting for on or off in the simple waveform section that when it is on, it becomes a solid object with various settings for opacity and color and maybe even a faded color like in the shapes (fading from one color to another, depending on distance between edges), with the centerline being one edge, and the wave the other, so if the wave is above center, everything above center to the wave is solid. that way, if you set an alpha channel on your wave, flip it vertically, and place the wave vertically on the screen it would look like an old school solid audio track, with colors.
