I should accept your Critique' over the Billions of people who loved the film including the Academy and thought it should win ???

LOTR is soooo over-rated... :rolleyes:

Then again, I don't really like fantasy movies at all... :D

MagnumOne, the Oscars are supposed to be based on whether film advanced the art of film making, not whether the film was popular, those should be left to the MTV Awards. ROTK deserved all the technical awards it got, it was a stunning technical achievement, but was it really the best film released last year? American Splendor, Lost in Translation, Russian Ark...these films had more claim to the awards that ROTK.

I would also add that Titanic was awarded best film as well....would say that deserved it? It was also watched by many as well.

I disagreed with four of the awards... All happy about ROTK winning all those awards.

Best Foreign Language Film should have gone too Ondskab (Evil), The Barbarian invasion is really one of of the worst movies i've seen in a while.

Best Actor should have gone too Bill Murrey

Best Editing should have gone to City of Gods, It's as inovative as the Matrix was when it came out.

Best animated feature film should have gone too The triplets of Belleville (amazing movie, higly recommended)
