ok i am trying to broadcast tapes i play out of my vcr. i have a wintv capture card hooked to my vcr and the sound output from the card goes to my sbpci512 soundcard. i can watch movies fine on my computer, sound and all. When i stream them and open the stream in winamp, i get only video with no sound. The vu meters dont even budge. this is very frustrating since everyone seems to have the opposite trouble as me and im sure its just a matter of some option i havent checked. btw i have checked "capture audio" and ive selected my soundblaster card in NSVcap. please help me as this is such a cool use for the internet id love to be a part of it. thank you

ps. also if i try to connect to my server with any other machine on my lan other then the one running the server, i get a good connection (icy200) but no video or audio. im not so worried about this until i get sound on the local machine.

ok i should have read your whole post the first time. anyway i still dont understand why you said i double posted but thats not why i am posting this. i solved this problem by plugging my video capture card into a different hole in my sound card. really dumb fix that i should have seen eariler. i still dont understand how i double posted as this seemed an appropiate place to ask for help and i only posted once, but once again thats not why i am posting this. problem solved, i am happy, thank you

a double post is when you post 2 or more threads in the same forum of the same or similar problem in very short periods of time. This type of activity is not allowed.

at least, not on purpose. as well as i can remember i only posted that once. if i did it more then once i must admit that i have no memory of it and i must be going insane. if this is the case please assist me in my mental diagnostic as i fear now for the lives and well-being of my loved ones.

are you sure of your sound in entry ?
it is silly but important to check if your sound in is plugged to the same pin as your audio input pin
