OK, I have indeed read all of the posts and did a search. Everything I found was beautiful. The problem is me, not Winamp, shoutcast, Belkin, etc.

Well, it might be Belkin since they don't return emails. Which is why I am here.

I have the basic Belkin Cable/DSL router that has the web utility that handles all of the opening of ports, etc. However, since I am a networking novice, I really can't make heads or tails of the page, so I am asking for help.

I figure I am going to have to input the information in the VIRTUAL SERVERS portion since there is already a predefined Shoutcast entry in there.

I added that prefab entry and this is what shows up:

Description: ShoutCast
Inbound Port: 8000-8005
Type: TCP
Private IP: 192.168.x.x
Private Port: 8000-8005

It still does not work. Which means I am doing something wrong. Is 8000 open or not? It would appear to be, but I am so stupid with this stuff that I don't even know if that is the proper way to do it.

Now, I also have something here called APPLICATION GATEWAYS. This on currently reads like:

Trigger STart Por: 8000
Trigger End Point: 8001
Trigger Type: TCP
Public Port: 6699, 6697, 4444, 5555, 6666, 7777, 8888
Public Type: TCP

I also see that DMZ thing, but I hear that is not the way to go about it. All in all, I see what I HAVE to do, I just am a fool and don't know WHERE to put this.

I know this is probably all vague, but please bear with me and don't rip me too hard if this was posted elsewhere... I did search!

I do have XP's firewall off, by the way.

Your virtual servers description appears ok.
Whack the trigger stuff.

Does your ISP block ports?

Check out http://www.radiotoolbox.com/cantheygetin and see if the reported information there helps.

Ok now tell me, do you have a router?

If you do then unconnect your router and plug your internet directly in to the modem. thats the easy way
