Need Help!!

Im Providing music this weekend with my laptop (Using Winamp Of course). Have some pretty good small speakers which are loud. Is there such thing as a miniature amp......I dont like dragging around a full stereo reciever. Can anyone help?

If you have a small car audio amp you *could* use a power converter and an RCA to line-in (headphone) cable.

Rat shack makes a very small amp if you want to go cheap. But check out sites like musiciansfriend.com or fullcompass.com and look for some prosumer level amps. You can find some really small and light but high quality amps for not a whole lot of cash. Once you get rid of all the bells and whistles of todays receivers and get down to just an amp, they get pretty light and "non draggy"

you're welcome..I had a setup like this in my garage...you do have to be careful though, once I got a power surge and it blew out my entire setup...4k worth of gear.

the trick to this setup is you have to use an amp that puts out AT LEAST the RMS for the speakers you use. (i.e. 100w RMS per speaker requires at least a 200w amp...300w is recommended.)
