Is their a way to get milkdrop to display only the song title and not both artist / song ?

set winamps advanced title formatting to song only

how do i do that

menu -> options -> preferences -> titles -> advanced title formatting

change it to suit your needs.
try:
%title%
or
%filename%

or something more complex if you like scripting.
