View Full Version : Media Library 'Year' column displays '0196' instead of '196x'.

Hi folks,

Using WinAMP 5.03, I have finally sorted through my music collection adding tags.

I am unsure of the exact date of some tracks (from compilation albums for example), and have simply used '196x' to indicate a 1960s track.

This is probably non-standard id3 tagging, but the 'Track Info' box picks it up correctly, whilst the MediaLibrary 'Year' column does not, putting a '0' infront of the year, cutting off the 'x';

196x---> 0196
197x---> 0197

etc.

It'd be nice to have this fixed in the future for custom Mailing List 'views'.

Cheers,
James

Hmm, not sure...

afaik, Winamp only supports numbers in the ID3 'Year' field, not letters.

ie. Winamp won't even let you insert a non-numeric (0-9) character in there.

Yes, that's what I suspected, however I thought it odd that the 'File Information' box should display it correctly, yet the media library wouldn't.

Oh well, never mind ;)

James
