While working on 7bamboo.com I google imaged for
japanese cat

and found this page
(warning, link to a dead baby)
http://www.euronet.nl/~lindboom/bou2eng.htm

Not quite as weird as the people that taxidermy their pets when they die, but weird still. I can understand the parents grief, but there's such a thing as having respect for the dead. Wouldn't a photograph of their baby while it was alive served it's memory as well as a plaster cast?

I just thought it was over the top, wanted to see if anyone agreed with me.

you simply don't believe what has gotten into these people !

I think it's a rather strange way to deal with the death or their baby.

btw - i'm dutch but would never do such a thing.
so don't think that this is a dutch thing or so to post pictures of a death baby on the net.

They should've kept the baby and put it in a glass coffin...That would've been a better idea than taking a picture...

I think its a quite nice way to remember their child.

Hey, whatever get them through it I guess. I just know that having a bronze head of my dead baby would definitly not help me.

I think it's a little bizzare, but it seems to have been done tastefully.

It seems just like a modification of a "wake".
