some photoshop help please

What I want to do is to create a circle from a straight picture.
Say I have a picture that is 1000x1000.What I want is to create a circle of 500 out of it.
Another way off trying to explain it is to say that I want the straight line to form the outer part of my circle. So the ends have to bend until they touch each other.

So I registered for the forums to reply :)

Anyway. THis is how I make such circles.

Make sure the "Bands" that will be around your circle are horizontal.

Apply Filter>Distort>PolarCoordinates

Crop and resize.

It isn't too hard when you get the hang of it. But not many people need it. Enjoy :)

Oh yeah, try just a lot of vertical and horizontal stripes for a start, it may help you get the positioning correct.
