In what way?
Was it a decent take on the whole troy story?
Was it a stunning script?
Was it well acted?
Did the direction of the film make you feel like you were watching real time events?
Did it make you want to rush out and study Greek history?
Or was it another hollywood excuse for turning up the special FX and hoping no one notices the bad acting, ropey script :D

1: Yes. Very. I had Ichillese (yea, totally butchered the name), it had the horse, it had the huge armies, the thick story plot... After the movie, I was literally saying "shall" and "thy" in my sentences... Only did that for about ten minutes afterwards though :D.
2: You really felt for the characters. You didnt know what to think. Throughout the movie, I kept thinking to myself "Who am I rooting for?" It didnt neccesarily favor one group. It MAY have leaned toward The trojans more because of actuality in history, but the script was very impartial. There wasnt necesarily (sp) a "happy" ending.
3: Oh man, yes. Probably the best part about it. Like I said: I felt for the characters. THe acting was incredibly believable.
4: I got really into the movie. While watching it, I really felt like what I was seeing was what was happening. Not that it was just a form of entertainment, but that people were being killed.
5: hmm... in some places. As it showed the city of troy, and the kings were talking, I really wondered what had taken place there, how it was built, and what armies had besieged it. i really wondered how it had developed.

There you go then, made you think and sucked you in , not a bad thing for a film, not bad at all, I might even go and see this, despite it not being an accurate account of the iliad, more of a "loose" re-telling of the story.
That had worried me a little, I kind of got the impression from previews and so on that they had taken the original story, chucked out, or changed, the bits that were not cinema friendly, added in a few other cinema friendly bits from other greek mythology stories (trojan horse for one thing) and tried to make a fast buck, but it seems from your review that it's an enjoyable movie as well.

Bottom line: I didnt walk out thinking "Yea, if they had added (fill in the blank), this movie would have been much better."

All and all...a great movie. Nice acting by Pitt, and it was a nice to see Bloom acting like the little bitch (Paris) instead of a asskicking hero...not that I mind him kicking ass. One part I would have changed...the entire battle stopping to watch Hector and Achilles fight on that beach. The last thing I'd be thinking would be "I trust this Greek with a sharp sword enough to stand next to him distracted"

I like how they gave Brad Pitt the character role of Achillies, since he eventually dies...
No, I havn't seen the movie, and nor do I wish to waste my money on viewing either...Although next time I'm at the theaters, maybe I'll pop my head in for the ending... :D
