I just bought me a router and now when I try to run everything... It seems like everything is fine but everybody is telling me that everything freezes up. Is there a certain program for routers or something?

http://192.168.0.100/listen.pls

Before I got the router everything was working fine... I heard something about forwarding my address or something. Is that what I have to do? This time can somebody friendly help me out instead of talking s***t? Thanx.

Who was talking shit?

Anyways, what you need to fix is something called port forwarding. You can learn how to do this by reading this (http://www.scvi.net/router.htm) in conjunction with your router manual.

I thought someone mentioned that in the last thread... I was making fun of your car because it was on the front page of your website, but I got down to business right after. You just wouldn't let it go, however, so all attempts to help were futile.

I'll leave this up to the others until my help is needed (all my linksys router experience) and then just ignore it :), I know that would please ken.

Hi everyone:

Also, one other thing, when referencing/pointing to your public IP adress, the end SHOULD read /;stream.nsv and NOT listen.pls

In other words, the link SHOULD look like this....

http://123.456.789.0:8000/;stream.nsv

Note it's VERY important to have the ; before stream.nsv as that's the syntax that's used by NSVSCRC and NSVENC.

If you're still not sure or if you're lost as ever, go back and read ALL the stickies in this forum. :P

Hope this helps :P

Cheers for now :P

Actually jeeper, with the new shoutcast 1.9.4, listen.pls also works with video streams.
