I apologize if this is already some feature buried deep within the preferences, but I couldn't find a way to do it.
Right now, when you click on the Playlists heading in the Media Library, you get:
Playlists
|
|--Progressive Metal
|--Industrial Metal
|--Goa
|--Balearic House
|--Hard Acid
|--Gabber
|--Ambient
etc...
Being as I have a huge amount of playlists that span probably 80 sun-genres of electronic music, I want a way to have sub-categories for playlists. For example:
Playlists
|
|-Metal
| |--Industrial Metal
| |--Progressive Metal
|-Trance
| |--Goa
| |--Gabber
| |--Hard Acid
| |--Ambient
|-House
| |--Balearic House
Where "Metal", "Trance", and "House" are sub-categories with playlists in them. They can be collapsed and expanded at will. Also, you can double-click on a sub-category and queue all the items in the playlists under that sub-category. You could still have playists that are not under a subcategory as well. Maybe make the subcategory names bold so that they stand out from non-sub'ed playlists?
