I am having the same problem. Found out the new Winamp 5.03 I just downloaded is missing milk_msg.ini
Suggestions are welcome, I have scoured the net for the file.

Ummh I know they keep doing strnage things with the versions I'll get them all sorted out for Winamp 5.04.
Download an older copy of milkdrop from my website www.milkdrop.co.uk and get the ini from there.

"milkdrop_preset_authoring.html" is also missing in Winamp's installer.
As Rovastar said, download an older version of Milkdrop from his website. :)

Since downloading the update, Milkdrop won't go back into the visualization window that it used to be in. Now it always spawns a second window that can never be reattached to the main player.
Thoughts?

It's better, if you save the "vis_milk.dll", wich is bundled with Winamp.
Then install MilkDrop 1.04 from Rovastar's website.
The last step, is to replace the new "vis_milk.dll" with the old, wich you have saved before.
A quick solution for your problem:
Just run the winamp 5.03 installer again. :)
I hope, they will include the missing files in one of the next releases, that workaround sucks. ;)
