Has anyone here skinned Windows Media Player? (no idea which version it's up to now) and How does it compare to skinning winamp classic modern.

(And please don't let this descend into a WMP vs Winamp bitch fight)

I think you've misunderstood me. I wasn't after skins of media player for Winamp but people who have made skins purely for Windows media player: I wanted to know how it compares to skinning of winamp skins. Is it easier/more difficult/ more restrictive etc.

You can check out The Skins Factory (http://www.theskinsfactory.com/)

and deviantART (http://browse.deviantart.com/skins/media/wmp/wmp9/?view=1&order=5&limit=24)

Hmmm... By this we can establish that apart from Microsoft and Skins Factory there are very few people in the universe producing skins for Windows Media Player.

What do we learn from this, boys and girls?

I'd also like to know the answer to this question, as my attempt at a modern skin is giving me a headache, right now

The only info I can find out about it is from here

I only mention it because I tend to use WMP to watch movies and winamp to listen to music - not mixing both as it tends to mess with my precious playlists. I use the WMP compact skin as the others, pretty as they may be, seem to have menus or buttons missing. Ergo I was going to get around to making one both pretty and functional. ie one I would use. But it does seem quite complex. - A lot of scripts involved and that's where it all tends to go wrong - for me at any rate.
