(I am new to Shoutcast so please keep this in mind)
My set up:
Sony Vaio & Windows XP into a Linksys Router into a cable connection. I just tested my UL speed and it's 189k.
I set up the self broadcast server using my CPU and followed the tut's on forwarding throught the router and I am broadcasting through to Shoutcast with no problem.
Thing is, in the DSP I set my encoder to 112k, but on the shoutcast page it's only listed as 40k. I logged on to my stream and it's infact my Minamp player shows that it's only playing at 40k. What could be the possible problem?
Also, if I buy streaming from a company will this be an issue?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replys.
