suprised yet to see a thread of this nature; please use to your own devises.
if you have a five pointed star shape with a torch at each point, that when you light one point it either lights or extinguishes the 2 opposite torches along the edeges or lines that make up that point example::::
if i light the torch on this point < the other two go out if lit or are lit if not
how do you get all five points to be lit at the same time?

Call in air support to make a napalm run. :D
Or better yet...
Light one point, move two spots in either direction, light that point, then light the last one.

Are you allowed to switch-off a torch, without affecting the others?
In that case, for a 5-pointed star:
Switch ON 1
Switch OFF 2
Switch ON 3
That should work :)

Attached picture isn't working for me.
At any rate, I either need a better explanation of how the torches affect each other or a visual showing how to be of any help.

yeah i hate games that have math puzzels in them. they just frustrate people who arent good at them and piss of those who are. but yeah i was just tryin to show sarge how it worked the lighting of the tourches and all and i accidentally ended up solving it.
sw kotor has that sutpid 3 rod 5 ring math puzzel. my brother hated it and it pissed me off.
good luck with the rest of your game.

I see now. Thanks.
The explanation I gave in my first post in this thread is exactly like yours, but only to step 3. I though that with only one point not lit, that when you lit the last one it would activate it. I didn't realize that the last three had to come on at the same time for it to work.

i was in the sub sub basement of the hospital in the first silent hill. i found the tape then the key to the examination room. i could tell that the little cut scene where you meet the girl in the red sweater from the begining was eminent so i headed straight for the examination room; completly forgetting about the tape. without knowing saved again not realizing till later about the tape and now my map isnt marking destinations anymore and the game is being weird. doesnt let go back or anything. should i start over? :hard swallow:

vice city the spade biker missions. (security for the love fist concert)
how do you fill the chaos meter? times runs out way too fast for me to get anywhere. is there a specific chaos your supposed to muster?
Mr Jones
18th April 2006, 06:42
if I remember rightly is this the one where you get on a bike to go shooting up stuff? right over the road from where you got the bike there is a building, behind that is a burnt out car shell.
If you started shooting at the car it wouldn't burst into flames , but your meter would slowly rise, just pump that bad bitch full of bullets......
Or...
Simply blow up a single car and shoot the burnt out wreck to increase the chaos meter.

that didnt work jones. im on the xbox version.
i have the ps2 version and they seem to be quite different. perhaps that only worked in the ps version.
the ps version is more vibrant and faster, the xbox version is shinyer and more detailed. however its the buggiest major realease game ive ever heard of. it crashes more than my nes used to. (*omit flashes back to the light headedness of emptying my lungs into a cart to clean the connectors.)

Try these, might also be ps2 ones though..
Tip from pongoid:
Just get the flame thrower before you start the mission. You can find one on the south end of the west island, and another in the pool of the last house on right as you're leaving Starfish Island going West. Start the mission, hop on the bike, ride around the corner, hop off the bike and just run around in a circle, cooking everything that moves until your chaosmeter reaches its limit. If all goes correctly and you use your flame wisely, you should be able to run out of there with the world burning behind you, and your mission passed with over 45 seconds to spare. Easy peasy.
Tip from Mika from Finland
Before starting this mission, stole few cars and abandon them in a middle of the road in front of grasy chopper bar. Let traffic jam build up. Start the mission and burn the whole traffic jam with flame thrower. You'll get that Chaosmeter up in few seconds and mission passed easily.
Tip from Wilfred
Kill one of the SWAT team member, then go to the Memorial Stadium. Kill just one guy and you will complete the mission.
Tip from Lolumz34
The fastest way is to: Before you start the mission, put some cop cars in one of your garages. Start the mission, then go kill those cars. Step back, let the door close. Then open the door again, the cars are there again to kill. They will keep respawning, as long as you let the door close all the way. Keep doing that until you have completed the mission.
