maybe i'm missing something obvious somewhere but I find it wierd no one has complained about this before (or at least within the first page of posts of technical isssues and I don't see how I'm obligated to look farther then that before asking this on the first page of posts):
Since installing the winamp plug-in for shoutcast everytime I start winamp even if i don't feel like 'shoutcasting' I have this stupid 'shoutcast source' window in my way. It's the window that lets you click the 'connect' button ect. I don't want it in my way and there's no way to get rid of it besides uninstalling the plugin.

There is no minimize button or anyway to get it off the screen other then drag it to the bottom and stick it out of view.
Just a suggestion to developers, make a way to hide this thing. You can hide the server window, why not this annoying thing?

Another suggestion which might sound really stupid to you in your position which I am not of but in another 'stickied' thread there is talk of fixing the problem where it defaults to the lowest possible encoder settings (24kbs 22.5 mono) everytime you start the plug in. How about not making 'none' the default selection for encoder type? Makes sense to me. I'm sure there are more complicated reasons for it being the way it is now that I do not understand but at this point, why is 'none' even an option? If it were fixed and at least defaulted to mp3 encoder it would fix the problem for casual users like me and still not affect more hardcore users that have other options to chose from besides 'mp3 encoder'.

I know its free (SHOUTcast) but what makes sense makes sense.

HELLO

This is a REAL problem.

I see all these posts with 20 replies about shit the the poster can just fix on his own. Why do you answer those? Cus you just want to be the person who fixes someone's problem so you can sleep at night cus it makes you feel good to help someone else cus you can't help yourself.

You can keep that 'good feeling,' I'm posting something I can't fix but yet is still a problem. If anyone wants to post something, you know, REAL, let me know.

What kind of response are you looking for? You let people know your complaint, we saw it, and thought "huh, he's got issues." By the way, I'll sleep just fine tonight, knowing that I offered you absolutely no help at all. Sweet dreams. :)

:D

You go to your plug in window, and deselect the DSP..

I don't think anyone really needs that, because your station isn't going to go anywhere if you aren't broadcasting 24/7 in my opinion.

Please do not bump threads. Nobody on these forums gets paid to help you. If you bump, it is less likely that anyone is going to help you.

he dickhead
1- nobody gets paid to help out so have some respect for that
2- instead of yelling at us you could have done a search for this subject - and would have found that there is a nice little piece of software you can use to hide the dsp plug window
3- and if you want to know where it is----> use the search function.
