I was going to rip my cds with winamp when I realized, Winamp doesn't support CD ripping with *.ogg!! Why? Everybody knows ogg gives you better quality and smaller filesize than mp3. Why doesn't winamp encourage people to use this new and better file format instead of simply pushing it out in the cold? If I was in charge, *.ogg would be the standard ripping output for winamp. Of course with the possibility of changing output format.

*.ogg to the people! =)

Download (http://timmy.p44.org/sawgstuff/wa/enc_vorbis.zip) and put enc_vorbis.dll in your Winamp\plugins\directory.

Unfortunately enc_vorbis is still based on Vorbis 1.0.0

You can get (even) better quality if you rip to wav and encode with OggDrop aoTuV (http://www.rarewares.org/ogg.html) (the AAC killer).
