I need a freeware reliable software which can convert any number of .jar files to one .exe

You'll have to include the Java virtual machine. Then you can create a batch file or excutable (you can even use NSIS) that launches the file with the right version of your Java virtual machine.
You do however have to check the Sun license for information about redistribution of the Java software.

When designing a custom icon you should always include 16x16, 32x32 and 48x48.

24x24 is required by some resolutions as well. Make sure you also supply 96dpi and 120dpi icons if you want best visual on some of the newer cards.

JAR is somelike a ZIP archiv afair.
i never had problems to compress modified packages for mozilla as zip (none or normal compression /winrar) then rename them to jar.
same with XPI
i consider that any ZIP-SFX compressor can do so...

Microsoft has one. There are others too. Just look here (http://mindprod.com/jgloss/nativecompiler.html).
