Here's my problem... It starts out and winamp says i'm connected, and so does the log. After a few seconds this come up...
<06/26/04@19:37:39> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<06/26/04@19:37:39> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 216.***.***.**:8080) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out))

*'s obviously meaning my IP address.

So anyways it keeps saying that, and the thing is that i am not using that IP address. If i use my IP address then it wont connect me threw the internet. So i am ussing the Cable boxes IP address. Now... the cable box isn't connect 2 my computer, its connected to another computer that connects 2 mine, thats why i am ussing that one. I have looked on here and couldn't find anything about it. If anyone could help or anything then please hlep :D i would apreciate it. Thanx

So you are using ICS? Take a look at these FAQ's:
Practically Networked ICS HowTo Center (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/ics/ics.htm)
How to Troubleshoot Internet Connection Sharing Problems (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q238135)

That program is designed for windows 98 i think.... i have windows XP. When i install that program it says a file is missing and go 2 add/remove programs 2 install it. I dunno what its talking about. Anyways, i still need help and i'ms till clueless. I keep trying 2 change the ports to, 666, or 8080, or like 8000. But that doesn't make a difference at all. If i use the local IP address the like 127.0.0.1 or w.e it works and loads up. But then it still says cant read my IP. So i dunno what else 2 do, or who else 2 ask help. So please, anyone out there, please come help me.

I have the same problem. I connect to the address as "localhost". There are no other computers on my "network", but i connect using ADSL (ASYMETRICAL digital subscriber line) Via USB port as i dont have an Ethernet port in my comp.
Thus my computer connects to the internet as if it
were a LAN, so my internal IP address (10.0.0.1) is not the same as my external IP.
But i keep getting that DNAS message.

* I use Port 8000 for the D.N.A.S.
* I have the GUI D.N.A.S. Client
* My connection speed is 64-256kbps
* I also use Windows XP Pro

It's not polite to Hijack other users threads!
if you have a serious problem you first search the forums to see if it already has been answered in another thread, if the search comes out blank you post your own question!

you are on some kind of network - install the server on the first computer ( the one directly connected to the internet) and install winamp player with dsp plug on yours , instead of local host enter the ip from the first computer into the place where you placed localhost. be sure to forward ports 8000 and 8001. and if using windows xp keep in mind it has a built in firewall!

No, that really doesn't help but thank you anyways. Heres bassically still my problem. If u look up at the first post u will see my problem, but 2 add on. The computer that has the cable box is upstairs. My computer is connected through a network. So i am ussing that IP address for that cable box on that computer to do this. If i use my own then it wont let me access the internet. So i dont know about this fowarding ports thing? i dont know if i even have 2 do it. But please someone help..
