So is it more the obsessing over topics like waffles and haiku that you dislike, or is it just any deviation from the topic of Winamp? If the latter, well, I thought that that was sorta what the general forum was for, isn't it? Maybe I just have a weird sense of humor, but I thought most of the recent posts in this thread were amusing enough to justify their existence.

Contrary to popular beliefe- man cannot live on waffles alone. I understand the llama jokes, but this Sexual Waffle thing (Take a step back and think about how ridiculous that is...) got very old fast- and it never did pass. People are still so fixated upon that. The Haiku's actually never bothered me too much when they were confined to after notes- then there were many strings DEVOTED to them...

I am not a humorless person, nor am i a square. If you have read my posts you know I season them with delectable morsels of the humorous sort. However everything just got too "Wierd" for me. While that is a quite
nebulous and vague reason, thats the best
way i can put it. Too wierd.

I agree somewhat with you, Xerxes in that the private, in-joke of waffles never really blew up my skirt. But then there are dozens of other topics (not to mentino one can start one's own) worth reading and contributing to. Check out the new ideas for advertising -- flat out the most fun, creative and cool topic on any of these forums. though I did see a winamp/waffle ad. No bigge, it made me laugh, tucked in as it was witht he other 50 home built ads.These ones produced by regular folks are much better and more memorable than the commercially produced tripe you see plastered all over the net.But yeah to each his own. Skins forum is pretty swank too. But everyforum has days when it's interesting nad days when it rocks. Just the nature of people sitting around and talking.

Xerxes, don't lose faith in the Winamp community; we still know how to have fun (as evidenced by the lame ad thread). I agree, that whole voodoo/haiku/waffle thing got blown way out of proportion, but there are still enjoyable threads in the general discussion forum.

Just remember: Waffles maybe eaten, Haikus maybe forgotten, Voodoo may wear off, but WINAMP LIVES!!!
