Smallville and HDTV

I just finished downloading some Smallville episodes and tried to play them in Winamp. The ones that won't play have 'hdtv' in the file name. Winamp, Windows Media Player and a couple of other players I have won't play these episodes. What do I need to install to get them to work in Winamp?

Either DivX or XviD codec.

They're the same as regular TV rips, just high deffinition. Sounds like you've been getting the mpegs, which Windows generally already have the codecs for them on the PC.

AVI videos for TV shows (either regular TV, PDTV and HDTV) are 99.99999% of the time encoded with either DivX or XviD.
