Hey guys,

I've dealt with a streamhost for nearly 3 years now. But due to miscommunication with our designer and advertisers, as well as lost ties with our rep with this stream host, we lost our deal and they pulled the plug on our service.

So as a result our server has been completely offline. Our site, (although it is still preparing for re-launch this summer) maintains a constant traffic of 5000 hits per day and we have quite a few advertising venues to a target and global markets to advertise for a stream host in return for server time to stream our audio.

Shoutcast played a a large part in the success of our site the last time around, however, bandwidth constraints keep us from serving the content ourselves. Just as well, the cost involved didnt seem feasible as we could do better with paying that money for advertising. Instead we would rather focus on trying to work out a "comp" deal with a stream host in exchange for advertising not only on our site and online radio station, but to our local publications, radio stations and global sister sites.

Please contact Jeremy Mack at jmack@digitallsd.com if you know of a stream host that could possibly provide us with hosting in exchange for mass advertising.

Thanks.

Asking for bandwidth is against the rules here. If you're looking for a sponsor, don't waste your time here. Get off your ass and start calling and emailing companies, and it needs to be a damn good proposal.

Sorry to be rude but it's the truth.

This forum is available for radio broadcasters to promote their stations provided that they follow the guidelines for pimping their station. You can also as usual seek out live DJ's for your station or offer your live DJ services. What is not allowed is all and any other form of services whether they be free or not. This includes services for broadcasters including, hosting, web design, station imaging etc.

If someone asks for help in finding a service then it will be appropriate to point out such services.

All threads that are strictly advertising other services will be closed and removed.

[EDIT [3/18/2004]: After careful consideration bandwidth begging and offering of any form is no longer allowed. -KXRM, FesterHead]

Read the rules man!

oh no, im not trying to fish for actual hosts... I was actually looking for people who had experience with hosts that they could refer us to.

the problem is that we arent sure where else to look. we have emailed the few we could find and followed up with calls as well.

i certainly wasnt posting this in hopes of trying to get an actual stream host to reply to me. It was simply an attempt to have fellow shoutcasters refer me to some companies.

i apologize for the confusion and thank you for your help.
