Goddamn, that movie sucked! I thought the trailors showed that it'd be a scary movie about these creatures that lived in the forest and stuff...Well, it wasn't about creatures, there was hardly a plot (And whatever there was I didn't find interesting), and it wasn't scary either (Except for maybe 2 scenes that had me jump, but a scary movie would have me in suspense every other minute)!

And how in the hell did that one woman just go blind all of a sudden like that?! I don't get it!

Was the "twist" ending that the people in the village were all living on a wealthy man's estate and that it was really modern times?

They lived on an animal preservation, and yes, it was modern times. The "monster" was simply a person/people from the village dressed up as the "monster" to scare people into staying in the village to prevent outside world contact. Fucking dumb movie that I don't plan on seeing, unless a friend ever buys the DVD, and only then will I see it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought the movie would suck.

Yea, that really blew. I hate all the people who decided to form the village for being anti-capitalists.

I belive M Knight made a cameo somewhere in there. If you look at the security guard boss' reflection in the medicine cabinet.

He was the guy at the refuge's compound reading the newspaper...

Fucking stupid plot...Still gets me about all these people living in purified fear of the outside civilized world because all the bad things that otherwise happen...Ever notice that in the refuge compound part? All the news on the radio and on the paper was negative: Robberies, soilders' deaths, and a kidnapped girl...

I went in hoping I was gonna be scared, but saw a plot of buncha people living in a village with scared lives instead...

So simply because the movie didn't follow the preveiw (the studios fault, not M. Night), it blows ass? Its apparrent you all understand the movie and its message. But, simply because its didn't scare you, it sucks. I was expecting to be scared as well, but I walked away very satisfied because the movie was well done (acting, cinematography, plot, etc.). Besides, how pertinent is the message of the movie? It totally applies to the world today. But I won't say anymore, because I don't wanna spoil it.

Let's put it this way: It had some nice twists, but the plot didn't satisfy me at all...

You two are lucky, I've just sat through Unbreakable and it was quite the worst, slow ass, dull film I've seen for many a moon.

Sixth Sense isn't all that either, can't say I've seen Signs....

Some people just aren't in to M. Knight's movies is all. I never saw The Sixth Sense, but did see Unbreakable which I thought was good, Signs which was good, and The Village yesterday which I thought was good as well.

Err, I take that back...I keep forgetting about "Signs" (Which was entertaining) and "The Sixth Sense" (Which I really need to get around watching soon)...

It may well have been, but the whole plot was given away within minutes of the film starting, I mean c'mon, who didn't realise Bruce Willis was a ghost ? gimme a break.
