as for elements of a skin I agree with all. I think it has to be pretty though, that is where the question comes. A skin like the one attached (just playing around) be different, nothing like it, but thats the problem, would it just sit in the wtf category or would you try it? (as for buttons, the legs are...its a tick) oh, and feel free to rip it apart as an example for elements of a skin.

Damn man, this thread is 2 years old! You could've just started a new thread if you wanted a critique of your skin.

edit: I'd like to add that you have drawn on of the most disguting skin I have ever seen. :p

It's like a strawberry that 8 luckless maggots were feasting on, moments after being squashed by a fat ladys bottom.

GOOD GOD MAN!!! that skin is..... different... honestly dude, i wouldn't even DL that one... sorry, just too "out there" for my liking..

as for elements here's some elements of one of the more popular skins:

<elements>
<include file="elements-colors.xml" />
<include file="elements-system.xml" />
<include file="elements-window.xml" />
<include file="elements-player-common.xml" />
<include file="elements-player-normal.xml" />
<include file="elements-player-mini.xml" />
<include file="elements-player-stick.xml" />
<include file="elements-tips.xml" />
</elements>

sorry.. just had to do it:P

sorry also to the author of that skin hope you don't mind my use here

yes. yes I could have. eh.

excellent. on second thought, i may work on it. I was hoping to get the legs to wiggle when in shade mode...

well... okay, i'm starting to rethink my logic. not everyones first skin idea makes it passed the cutting block. But hey, skin first for yourself.

hahahaha... well dude, there's nothing wrong with "out there" designs... but that is "what were you smoking?" weird... lol... no offense.

none taken. Hey, if i can be the only one out there with a tick with twitching legs that plays music, hey thats good enough for me ¦¬)

I'm splitting this from the original thread as it has little bearing on it and works better as a standalone thread.

If you can think of a more descriptive title for the thread, tikamp - Attack of the Filters for example, then please let me know and I'll change it.

cool that works for me, or maybe the title "Tikamp - Photoshop and Boredom"

it's a tick??!?!? huh? how many ticks have you seen? that is DEFINATLY not like any tick i've seen... and believe me i've seen plenty... we used to breed cattle. those legs look more like ocotpus tentacles then legs, tick legs have semi-well defined joints, kinda like a spider, in fact, i'm pretty sure they're part of the same arachnid family... not immediate family though, they're like a distant great aunt or something...

oooh arachnids... If it weren't for my overpowering geekish computer skills i would probably be an arachnidologist. entemology is too broad for me. You must take into consideration that there are two sub families of ticks, hard ticks and soft ticks. My tikamp has been based off a soft tick, seeing as how it tends to look more freakish. Oh, i should have time to work on it today, so i'll try to get an uploaded screenshot. Any suggestions on how to do a volume bar?

You forgot THE tick! Now that would be a cool skin :)

i promised an update, but skin progression was slowed by an unexpected roadtrip. Actually, conversation about THE tick was actually what made me thing about this creation in the first place. maybe i'll make it blue...

volume bar... how about an artificial probiscus? or one of the legs moves up and down? or gets longer/shorter... fills up with blood (the body, not a leg)
