broadcast titles

hello
when i use a play list i get the title to what is broadcasting at that time. on nights when we have church i switch my output to sound card and broadcast live services. at this point i type a title in the title area but it does not change on shout cast. any ideas on what i can do to fix this? i tried a search in support but did find any thing to help.

Update the titles manually via

when trying the link myself just being bored out my face i decided to just see what it did, and well, it didnt seem to open anything, and all it did eventually was to display the "this page cannot be displayed" error...
are u sure the link is correct?

You mean you tried this on your own system? Did you use localhost or the LAN IP address and not the WAN IP address?

what link did you try rock city?
yes i viewed on the pc running my broadcast and on a lap top as well and when i go to live broadcast the title does not change. the way people find this link is to type in medford and our broadcast comes up.

Rock-City.. Odd this about that link is, it doesn't display anything.. But it does change the song information.

Link using this format: http://yourIP:yourPORT/listen.pls

Replace "yourIP" with your IP (which you can find from the hosting machine here (http://www.radiotoolbox.com/online_tools/whereami.php)) and "yourPORT" with your portbase as defined by your DNAS (server) config file. The default is 8000.

that is how i have it set up on the pc that broadcasts. i do not have a problem broadcasting. it should be broadcasting right now. hold on i will go see. ya it is broadcasting right now i just type medford in the search box on shout cast and click on listen. my problem is when we have a church service i stop the play list go to sound card input in winamp type my title in the title box and we are broadcasting live. only on line the title is the last title on the play list not the live title i had just typed in. this is what i am tring to figure out.

Did you try my suggestion (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?postid=1433711#post1433711)?

My interpretation is you're trying to make live updates to the title in the DSP and it is unsuccessful.

shoutcast guru you are right. i should stand quite and listen to your instruction wise teacher.
just trying my hand at humor here. i retyped in the link and now the title changes. i do not know what i had missing in my link before but there was something missing.
