my shoutcast station wont work

Hello..I've been trying to get my shoutcast station to work and i finally did all of the stuff to open the 8000 and 8001 port but it still wont work and it says...

it does that every time i push the play button to make music start playing..and even if it does work it still wont show up on the shoutcast website so can anyone help??? thanks.

All that activity is perfectly NORMAL!!!! If you weren't so impatient, and had given it a chance you would see that you would eventually get a "touched" from shoutcast which means you will be listed on shoutcast in about 30 mins or less, usually less.

I'm not impatient, otherwise i wouldnt have asked that because it does that over and over and never does show up on shoutcast and it just keeps saying connection closed.

:rolleyes: you should also notice that it is the shoutcast directory tester that closes the connection meaning it has found you and no longer needs to test your connection.

another question..it also wont let other ppl listen to my station using the link http://24.204.32.11:8000/listen.pls i cant even get to it

You can't connect to your own station using your WAN IP address, that address is for us outsiders to connect to and it works. If you want to listen to your own stream, use the LAN IP address of the PC with shoutcast or if you are on that PC, use localhost
