There's this new show, Monk. I really enjoy it as of late. Anyone heard of it? I guess it ran about one to two years ago in the US.

It's not that new to the states. If fact, the USA Network is running a Labor Day Monk-a-thon (http://www.usanetwork.com/schedules/sched.php?sdate=9/6/2004). Of course, I'll likely be watchin' the American Chopper: Viewer's Choice (http://dsc.discovery.com/schedule/series.jsp?series=24757&gid=7893) marathon.

I don't watch much TV, I actaully DL the venture bros episodes, it's much more convenient that way, TV never fits into my schedule so I fit it into mine.

Star Trek Series in order of Quality

Next Gen, Star Trek, any series I haven't seen, Enterprise, Futurama, Deep Space 9/Voyager tie for craptastical and then Andromeda since they have the same creator.

I missed 24 last monday :( I like the Aprentice. I think 24 is top still though. I haven't been watching much TV lately though other than my daily news and simpsons.

90s ain't that old, is it? ;)

Guess you are right, I do fancy watching old stuff. However, a couple of these shows "Fresh Prince" and "70s show" I used to watch back in India (where I come from) before coming to the US. The other two, my friends here got me into.

I loved LOST and still miss it.

We've been watching Fringe and really enjoying it. But I'm nervous because they moved it to Fridays, which is typically the kiss of death for a show like this.

What do you guys think? I watched Survivor last night and I think I would have preferred dental work. I think Family Guy, the Simpsons et all animated weirdness has really been losing it lately. That last Family Guy Star Wars sucked big time. At least Seth MacFarlane made that clear in the opening credits. He promised to make it up to us.

I feel like I am on sophomoric overload. Since I haven't been a sophomore for more than 30 years, TV doesn't really cut it lately.

It's sort of like a decade of M*A*S*H. I was long ago Alan Alda'ed to death.

One Family Guy was fun and unique. One South Park was a hell of a lot of fun. One Simpsons could be cool at times. Futurama was fun.

Now a half dozen clones try to reach for your attention. The premise is to become even more sophomoric and potty mouthed. I think that train left the tracks. My being able to get a laugh before I change the channel is rapidly diminishing.

My dad used to say "Just because someone takes a shit, doesn't mean you have to look at it" TV is making me feel that way lately.

I read this article lately:

http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/03/09/us-television-wb-idUSTRE6280SZ20100309

It talks about women being portrayed as "catty, two-faced and insane" This seems to be prevalent in current TV shows, not as this author pointed out... limited to the WB network.

We could compare the portrayal of men as impotent, unreliable and self indulgent. This is funny?

Three flavors of CSI give us bitchy women and effeminate men. Castle started out ok, but how much Stana Katic with a cob in her ass can a guy take? Playing against Nathan Fillion, who becomes more gay with every episode.
