Has anyone noticed all the problems people are having with the posts doubleposting lately?

I have had the same problem the past couple of days. I just click the reply button once and if it does not go through I close out my browser, come back in here and the post is here.

Holy cow, that was one long run-on babbling sentence.

..I do click the button once. I've waited over 10 minutes before clicking twice before, like it keeps pushing the data.

You try running a major internet forum.

Sometimes we see double (or quintuple) posts with the same timestamps. That can't happen even if you click "Submit" multiple times because we have the 60-second rule.

It's just vBulletin being spastic.

It's the recycle bin's fault that everything is slow.

473 threads in Recycle Bin vs. the 23332 in GD - how the hell did you come to that conclusion??

What I find funny is the "or else" ultimatums being given by members that we couldn't get rid of if we tried....

Anyone ever here of being patient until it gets sorted? After all, the only people it is affecting at present is the moderators - we're the ones that have to trawl through repeated posts and delete them...

It's not the thread that count, the recycle bin has more posts than the Breaking news, Games center, Movies, and Bitchlist, combined. More than the Music uncombined.

I did that the other day. I typed the reply, waited - nothing. Closed the browser and came back a bit later and it posted several dupes.

Oh well.
