Name something that makes YOU happy. Not a person but something that makes you happy.

I love to look at and smell flowers. They are so beautiful yet tranquil.

Ahhhhhh......... You have an appreciation for a fine automobile!

Yes, I do.. unfortunately the sound I described in my first post, to the average person, sounds like a very badly-tuned engine at idle...

Then they have the living daylights scared out of them when the guy behind the wheel mashes the throttle. :D

Not being in a tough school program, being able to get >6 hours of sleep a night, and "banging hot chicks".

The seclusion is probably the most significant factor in my need to drive for a living..No one to bug my ass, don't have to listen to anyone whine about life's woes or how terrible things can be or are.. LOL!!

I've been a loner intentionally for as long as I can remember. Although, I do Love my wifes company and the constant hustle/bustle of both my daughters changing attitudes as they get older.

My weights and heavy bag would most likely be my second choice, although I always have a cpl of dumbells in the side box of my Freightliner, so I guess they go together as far as priority is concerned in my *Stayin Smil'n*..

PC's/Cam rank a close tail end also.

Most of all....The Truck..It separates me from the *Real World*..

The Freedom Of The Big Road......Ya'll..Nothing Else But Me And Alan Jackson On The Box.. LOL!!

Roadtrips.

I love to just jump in my car on a whim and drive in one direction until I reach an ocean. I love my car, I love to travel and I love spontaneity.

My goal is the journey, not the destination. Everything along the way is a gift.....lying in the grass next to a church that I find on the way, exploring a hiking trail, meeting new people and discovering new places.

This is just one of many things (other than people) that make me happy, but it was the first one that came to mind.

General Geoff

Yeah, I can agree to what ScorLibran said. It really is quite nice to just drive somewhere for no reason every once in a while. I wish I had a car that got better than 8mpg, I would drive to no place in particular more often. :(

Nice Truck MagnumOne

Are you an owner-operator? You must be, that definately is not a company truck!

I dont know how you do it. Being on the road is tough enough let alone having stupid inconciderate 4wheelers in your way.

I used to drive alot (50,000+ miles last year) and had a cb in my van. I met alot of really cool drivers along the way, and listened to alot of really sad stories. My handle was Angelfromheaven. The very first time I used my cb a driver from California named me that. We ended up following each other for about 650 miles and when the time came to split roads he named me that.

Nope...Used to own my own..

That tractor in the pic is not my tractor (Freightliner Promo Shots)..I'm off on a cpl of weeks holiday right now..Back Oct/4th. It's the same tractor though, just not a Dbl Bunk, 2002 Century Class/Extended Ceiling/All The Toys..( I'll post a cpl shots later..I have posted some in here before, just need to find them..LOL! ;) )

I do a dedicated home daily run now (500 Miles A Day), I've been off the Big Road for years now..

Once we paid off our home, I exited the owner operator gig..Don't miss it, I still escape the world even if I am home daily.. LMAO!!

Cheers Mom ;) Mag

what makes me happy is when the season begins to fade from summer to fall.i love going for late night/early morning walks this time of year because when i go outside and its chilly the air is crisp and perfect and everything is quiet and still. it almost feels like the world has stopped. its in******ting. nothing makes me feel more alive. walking in that perfect still silence makes me feel that no matter what is going on, for those few moments the whole world is at peace and its beautiful. :)

Cheers back at ya!

Even though you are a local driver it still does not diminish the tough job you have. You have so many outside factors that can turn an easy day into a really sucky one. ie: construction, accidents, stupid drivers ect.....

I am sure that your daughters and your wife love having you around more! Family is so important.

Have a great night.

i like roadtrips. i've never driven for more than an hour in one direction before. i used to drive from fresno to merced a lot. lots of fun on the freeway(when there's not a lot of traffic). i also just like to drive around town on a nice day with the windows rolled down and the radio turned up.

I see you've met Phily. He's a tad bit "touched" :D

I think I'm the happiest right when I fall asleep. You've just gotten into the comfy zone, and your body is all relaxed.

At least I'm happy right until someone pokes at me. :weird:

the road sign with the squiggles on it indicating a series of turns ahead. if there is another sign under it that has a distance, that makes it better. the longer the distance the happier I am.

also, taking a turn at double the recommended speed on the warning sign, and to still be doing double at the end of the turn. that has happens alot since this (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=191859)

One night I was in a bar and my friends and I finished off a whole bottle of tequila. We had so much fun that night. However for the next week I was so hung over ~ Have not been able to go near it sence then.
