CNN) -- The Vietnam veterans group behind a series of commercials attacking Sen. John Kerry's military record has released a new ad comparing him to Jane Fonda for meeting with North Vietnamese and Viet Cong officials during the Vietnam War.

The Democratic presidential nominee's campaign quickly dismissed the commercial as "junkyard politics."

The group Swift Boat Veterans for Truth said Wednesday that it planned to spend $1.3 million over the next week to run the 30-second commercial in five battleground states -- Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Nevada and New Mexico -- and on national cable networks.

Ahaha :D

As far as this flip-flopper thing goes, I think it takes a determined man to keep on the same track, but a truly great man to recognise his mistakes and adjust his course with the benefit of hindsight.

Personally I think a good piece of campaign reform would be that anyone involved in running ads of an attack nature should have to publicky reveal their names, addresses and such. I mean if you really believe in what you're saying you should have no reason to hide. If you're a lying sack of shit like most of the attack ads are then you would get what was coming to you.

But since that would be mean I think the best idea would be that if someone wanted to run an attack ad they should be forced to provide without any doubt proof to back up their statements or the ad should not be run. Right now anyone can run an ad saying anything about anyone without a shred of proof. Can you imagine how few attack ads we would see if everything they said in the ad had to be proven to be factual before it was ever aired?
