Problems with Icy Box Firewire + Win98

Hallo,
I have a problem with an Icy Box and Winamp 5.X. When I connect it to the Computer and start Winamp, the "Task" Winamp Equalizer freezes and sometimes the computer crashes.
This is on 3 different Computers with Win98SE. Can some one help me?

Has now one an answer or a hack for my problem? :cry:

Here are more infos: In the Box is a 160GB Samsung Disk an the firwirechip in the box is a "Profilic PL3507".
