hi everybody... i have been working to create my internet radio since 2 weeks, now it's time to check out if it works. I've decided to manage shoutcast server by myself, so it runs on my pc, but i use SAM2 broadcast to stream so that's why i'd like you to check my radio and say me if it works or not...
here the details...

http://radio-ruggine.no-ip.com:8000

please, let me know...

italy will be so thankful to you all...

cheers.

means you are up and running.

just a little thing - 32 listeners max at 64k??

take your uploadspeed / bitrate = the max number of listeners you can have.
if you have it too high (max listeners) and you go over it every listener will suffer from it. they will have buffering and loose their connection.

take your uploadspeed http://www.dslreport.com/

once you have that devide that speed through the bitrate you are having ( in your case 64kbps) the outcome is the max number of listeners you can serve broadcasting from your home connection.

example - say your uploadspeed = 256k
256/64k = 4
but you always have to leave some overhead and isp hardly ever provide the uploadspeed they say that they have.

in this example max listeners have to be set at 3

get it now?

btw - I haven't been to italy nor poland for the last 20 years , but if you are ever in the neighbourhood of the Netherlands let me know, buy you a beer.

may ask you something more?

... i've almost setted all up... and everything seems to works... (i keep my finger crossed)... but my friends have still some problems in listening to me, i mean, they go in overbuffering, as you already foresaw...
i got to know my uploadspeed is something like 350-370k, so i set my bitrate 48kb/s 22khz with 6 max listeners...

how would you set this parameters if you'd walk on my shoes? i'm just looking for a better trade-off between quality and fastness of trasmission...

I say, is doesn't really sound too bad. If you want higher quality sound, you could always get a stream host... if you're willing to shell out a little cash. http://www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts/
