Simply uncheck the list in 'shoutcast directory' box in the SHOUTcast DSP and give the person you want to relay to a link in this format:

http://yourIP:yourPORT/listen.pls

then have them broadcast your station to their server and make sure they have the 'list in directory' box checked.

More info on station linking available at the following links:

Just allow only the minimum number of listeners for your first server and nobody else will be able to connect to it. Even more, edit sc_serv.conf and put it on "rip only" mode.

I don't want them to see it as a cluster

I want the main server to be unlisted and the relay server to be listed

Ok, I did it by opening a Winamp and listening to a stream and relaying using the SHOUTcast DSP to the final server.

First of all is it possible for my server to be up and private and have someone relay the server like they were going to do a cluster?

like this

MY SERVER (PRIVATE)>>>RELAY SERVER (PUBLIC) >> SHOUTCAST.COM

What is Rip Only Mode?

First of all : Yes it is possible !

Rip only mode is when your private server accepts only connection from the authorized IPs.

Last reply for you because you always change your mind about : make your own tests and you'll understand !

JAMJAR do this:

PRIVATE SERVER dnas cfg:
PublicServer = Never
AllowRelay = Yes
AllowPublicRelay = Yes

PUBLIC RELAY dnas cfg:
RelayServer = your private server IP
RelayPort = your private server port #
PublicServer = Always

Your "private" server will not show up on shoutcast.com; the "public" server will (and other servers will too if you want to let multiple relays pull from your private server).

If you want to make sure no-one connects to your private server but the public server relay you can use the RIP functionality mentioned above.
