Who uses winamp?
Any serious broadcaster uses SAM2, OTSDJ or some other program.

Why? Because you are being an asshole.
Don't just come on and try and own the forums.

He asked what winamp encoders people used, I made a comment that why would anyone use winamp, because it sucks.
See the connection? Stand corrected.

nope. there is atleast one more and thats the sam2 encoders plugin. IF i have to use winamp to broadcast, i always use that. much more stable than the default scast dsp.

besides being more stable, also a wider range of bitrates and multiple streams handling.

guys lets respect others opinions please, if you don't think winamp is a great way to source a stream then just say so, don't be dramatic about it please.

+1 KXRM - I know a lot of "little guys" (as other will think) broadcasting known shows using Winamp and the SHOUTcast DSP because they suite their needs :)
Of course to create the playlists they don't do this manually and use good playlist creation tools.
Winamp + SHOUTcast DSP is the cheaper combo and allows the maximum people to broadcast.

yeah the winamp shoutcast dsp plugin is pretty buggy. it crashes on me now and then. how much is the SAM2 plugin for Winamp?
