Every preview I read of this film gushed and swooned over it, how it was going to kick start a whole new slew of Hollywood monster films, biggest film of the summer yada yada.....

Every review of the film I saw after it came out said it was mediocre at best.

Every review of the DVD that I've seen so far says the film is awful and that the extras disc is more entertaining.

Has anyone actually seen it?, Sellers, are you one of the other 5 people?, what's your view on it?

I have not seen it yet cuz I hate goin' to the movie theater.

As for the reviews, I don't give a flyin' fuck on a shit stick about what other people say about a movie. If it's something I think I'll like, I'll buy it. (I don't rent).

I don't think it's worth the money to "revisit" that "film." The plot was pretty thin, the dialogue was just goofy, and the visuals were decent at best. Kate Beckinsale was hot; that's about all the movie had going for itself.
