How does it all work?

Hello guys,

I have recently been looking on the forum for help on how to stream. But i failed misserably, is there some sort of Plug-in or file i need to download? like when streaming audio? and does it work in the same as shoutcast radio, like playing it in a playlist?I have no clue at all
