Believe it or not my Western digital protege 40gig is the one with SMART notices saying failure is imminent right now, I'm working on recovering my critical data from it, and have been all freaking day long.

The seagate and fujitsu drives are probably the best I have used, uber quiet and extremely reliable..

What in the hell happened to that laptop hard drive man?

My master hard drive is a Samsung SV4002H 40gb (E-IDE, 7200rpm). My slave hard drive is a Western Digital WD2000jb 200gb (E-IDE, 7200rpm also).

Dual Seagate 120 gig's in a RAID-0. I have many other older drives that I don't feel like listing too... :D

Developed a death rattle, finally gave up the ghost so I decided to perform surgery on it with a pair of tin snips...

I use a small silver box that makes noises and does other stuff that involves holding data. Beyond that I am stumped...

The magnets out of those are fun. They're incredibly powerful.
